The Public Building Commission has a robust project development program in place, with many diverse projects currently in planning or development. From state-of-the-art fire stations to welcoming public libraries, from innovative public schools to tranquil parks to fun-filled playgrounds, the PBC’s work reaches into every corner of the city.
Each project developed by the PBC embraces the type of positive social change that only public development can deliver. In neighborhoods throughout the City of Chicago and Cook County, the PBC works with the community to transform rail yards into schools and concrete into campus parks, transforming the spaces where residents of all ages play, learn and grow.
